FITTINGS:
AWD offers a complete line of fittings that transition collected water to standard pipes.
| Trench drains are used to collect or intercept water and re-direct the collected water to designated areas. Trenches are typically excavated and filled with aggregate or pipe and aggregate. This design offers limited collection and overall drainage performance due to the limited flow capacity of aggregate and limited collection capacity of the pipe. Installation requires extensive excavation, is labor intensive and the drainage performance is dependent on the sloped installation of the pipe. |
| |
The most important characteristic of any subsurface drainage system is its ability to collect water from the surrounding soil. Pipe and stone systems have major limitations when compared to prefabricated drain systems. The open area in our prefabricated sheet & strip drains far exceeds that of a perforated pipe.
| |
| Prefabricated drains provide a sustainable, cost-effective drainage alternative that reduces the excavation requirements, material, equipment and labor costs associated with stone and pipe systems. |
| |
| Constructed by wrapping a perforated, high-profile core with a nonwoven filter fabric. The filter fabric prevents soil intrusion into the flow channel while allowing water to freely enter the drainage core. Prefabricated drains have more than 60 times the open area for water collection than a perforated pipe. |

prefabricated soil strip drains are recommended for trench applications where moderate compression and high flow capacity are required.

are recommended for deep trenches that require a combination of sheet drain and a collection system. HQS replaces perforated pipe and stone as a collection system. The engineered core flange is designed to work with SITEDRAIN sheet drains to quickly and efficiently collect and transport the collected water to designated areas. |
